home repair service cleaning : Unlicensed Home Repairs Are Creating Big Problems For Homeowners

If you're in the real estate business, you understand home inspections and the repair problems that unlicensed or inexperienced construction workers can create for you. I would like to point something out to anyone who buys and sells homes.

You're not really doing anyone any favors, by using construction repair professionals who don't know what they're doing. I don't know how many times I run into a situation like this, because I'm the one that they call, after the original repairs fail.

I've been working in the construction business for over 30 years, dealing with problems like these regularly. A homeowner calls me to repair termite damage, mold damage, water damage, wood rot and other items that a so-called construction professional didn't repair properly or was forced to make the repairs as cheaply as possible.

I know that this isn't going to stop anyone from doing any types of home repairs as inexpensively as possible, but it should. When is enough going to be enough and people buying and selling homes, going to quit using so-called construction professionals, who really don't have the knowledge to make the necessary repairs.

I probably shouldn't be saying anything, because these repairs usually lead to larger home repairs in the future. If someone chooses to patch a hole in the roof, but it isn't done right and continues to leak, the new homeowner is probably going to be paying big bucks in the future. It's not just going to be a roof leak anymore, this new home repair is going to have water damage, with the possibility of mold, structural damage and wood rot.

I am saying something, because I'm tired of people taking advantage of other people who really don't know better. If you're really interested in helping your clients, buy and sell homes, don't forget about future home repair costs for people buying these homes, especially if your clients are the ones selling them.
